Waterside Cottages

Availability & Booking

Situated close to the river or loch, these cottages are ideal for those who enjoy views of and walks by water.

For guests staying at East Lodge there is a stretch of the river known as the Queen's Pool where you can fish for trout and you can sometimes see salmon. Legend has it that this was where Robert the Bruce ferried his wife across the river.

Guests staying at Bridge Cottage have a boat for their own use moored near the cottage.

Tuim is close to the river near East Lodge and there is a lovely walk along the boulder strewn river.

Old Post Office overlooks Dunalastair Loch and is a short walk through woods to where the boats are moored from which you can fish on the loch.

Rowing boats are available on the loch for guests' use (except in mid winter), for fishing or just exploring the islands of the loch.

We give you a permit for trout fishing automatically when you arrive. The permit covers bank fishing on the north bank of the river Tummel from Kinloch Rannoch bridge to 1/4 mile short of the bridge at Tummel Bridge for trout and pike, excluding Dunalastair Loch, which is boat fishing (by fly) only.
