Tuim Cottage
This recently renovated luxury cottage stands on a rise 200 metres or so from the River Tummel, where you can fish for trout, and not far from East Lodge, so they could be rented together although each retains total privacy with trees between.
The cottage has a very spacious L-shaped sitting/dining room with sofa and armchairs grouped around the cosy wood-burning stove. The dining area has pine dining table, chairs and dresser. There are plenty of books and puzzles. The double bedroom has a kingsize bed. A door leads from here into the family bathroom (which has a door from the living room, too). There are two steps down to the sunny twin bedroom.
The family bathroom has bath with shower over, WC and basin and, in a cupboard, the washing machine and tumble dryer. The very well equipped kitchen, which faces Schiehallion, has plenty of storage cupboards, colourful blinds and oil central-heating boiler (oil included in rent). There is a small sun-room off the living room facing south to Schiehallion.
Tuim has a fenced garden area at the rear and parking for several cars at the front, well off the road inside the gate. There are mature shrubs and trees in the garden including birches and Scots pines and you will see plenty of wildlife such as woodpeckers and squirrels (as reported by guests) from the windows which look towards Schiehallion.
You can walk along the riverbank directly from the cottage and there are attractive falls a short walk away through the pine woods. This cosy cottage has oil-fired central heating and a woodburning stove.
Please note that being on a rise, there are several steps to the front door which may make it unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. There are three steps up to the back (sunroom) door.
