A beautiful and spacious four star cottage situated a few hundred yards down a private estate road, it was carefully converted from the estate's Victorian laundry and has huge windows facing west with views to the Glencoe hills 25 miles away. It is in a wonderful situation with a lawn surrounding it, and climbing roses, honeysuckle and clematis against the walls and beyond the garden stretch woods and fields. Guests report on all the wildlife they see around the cottage.
The spacious kitchen/dining room with two large windows looking west down the glen and north to woods is very well equipped and also has a payphone. There is a Utility room equipped with laundry facilities.
The huge living room/bedroom, has three large windows facing west down the glen to Glencoe and two large windows facing east to the woods. It measures approximately 10 metres by 7 metres and features a attractive kingsize four-poster bed at one end with dressing table and chest of drawers/window seat and, grouped around the wood-burning stove a sofa and easy chairs. The original wooden floor is complemented by attractive rugs and the windows have original shutters and colourful curtains.
Off this room is a shower room with roll-in* shower (no ledge) with shower seat, basin and W.C. and grab rails, a walk-in wardrobe, and an airing cupboard. This cottage is also suitable for a 'Disabled Person with Assistance' Category 2 *(suitable for disabled).
There are lovely places to walk directly from the cottage, it is a 10 minute walk down to the river and you can walk to the hills from here.
