A farmhouse with panoramic views
This immensely popular highland farmhouse, perfect for self-catering holidays, stands in seclusion among meadows at the foot of Ben-a-Chuallaich and has breathtaking panoramic views south across the glen to Schiehallion (1083 m). An attractively furnished holiday home with comfort in mind which is perfect for one or two couples or for a family. All the main windows are double glazed.
A spacious highland hideaway, Maragdubh has a sitting room facing south with a superb view. The cosy open fire is surrounded by sofa and easy chairs and coffee table with occasional tables and lamps. There are also plenty of books and puzzles and some dvds to keep you occupied. The large dining room is just off the kitchen with dining table and chairs. The kitchen is galley style and now (April 2010) has a dishwasher. The bathroom has a large bath, basin and W.C.
On the first floor the large double bedroom has a kingsize four-poster bed and an en-suite shower room with basin & W.C. It has a pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table and this room has a wonderful view south as does the large triple bedroom with three single beds (two can be converted to a superking).
The garden is enclosed with lawn and tubs and daffodils in spring, and roses are trained up the walls of the courtyard at the back. There is wooden garden furniture on a paved area. Deer, black grouse, buzzards and other wildlife can often be seen in the surrounding area.
